Semi-bald parrotlet

I recently (just over 4 weeks ago) purchased a female parrotlet to pair with my male (who lost his mate a little over a year ago). I have not yet introduced them, as she is being "quarantined".

When I got her her head was quite bald, and the man I bought her from said that this was just because she was going through a molt. However, it doesn't seem to be improving yet...just wondering if this is normal? She's not completely bald, but has a lot less feathers on her head than my other parrotlets. (I'm not sure how old she is, as he was unsure, he said she was 2 or 3.) Do you think it is safe to introduce them now or should I continue to wait? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Dr B suggests that you have the bird seen by an avian vet before introducing it to your flock. Birds do not go bald during a molt. Either this bird was plucked by another bird or has a disease. You need to Find an Avian Vet to examine the bird to make sure it is healthy so the rest of your flock does not get infected.
