senagel parrot is scared

I was cleaning my parrots cage and he flew away in my home and bumped into walls and now he is scared to come out of the corner be hind the closet, How can I get him back in his cage?

Catching a parrot that escaped the cage

If your bird is hand tame, just sit on the floor until he calms down and he will come to you.

If your bird is NOT hand tame, then you can toss a lightweight kitchen towel over him and VERY gently pick him up in the towel and release him in the cage.

You need to keep a very close eye on him. He may have broken one of his hollow bones and may need to be seen by an avian vet.

If you notice any problems at all, then please Find an Avian Vet right away to examine your bird.
