Senegal Parrot jerks head alot

Good afternoon. My senegal parrot Rocco has recently picked up a habit of jerking his head from one side and sometimes looks back and jerks. Also i will pet him and he will do the jerk. I just want to make sure this is not a serious condition or illness. He is one year and seven months old. Thank you. Nadia.

So, how much are these "Harrison" folks paying you for all the advertising money you are generating for them? It seems as though your
only solution to all the parrots comments posted is A) contact your avian vet (which anyone with common sense does anyway) & B) give your parrots Harrisons. My parrots prefer a variety of Zupreen and Pretty Bird along with fresh fruits, vegetables and table food.

Editor's note: Harrison's doesn't pay me a thing. LOL It simply is one of the best, and we wish the best for your birds. My child preferred all kinds of things to eat, but I fed her a healthy diet instead. ;-) I don't feed my birds only seed, what they prefer, I feed them Harrison's.

It may be a behavior but some toxins such as lead and zinc, as well as nutritional deficiencies, particularly vitamin B, and some viruses can cause this. Harrison's is the best pellet you can feed your bird. You should have your bird seen by an avian veterinarian. Maybe take a video recording with you to show the doctor in case your bird does not so it in the room.
