You are correct, your bird should be plenty warm. I suspect that the bird is just very excited to see you in the morning. Maybe it wakes up long before you and just can't wait to get out and be with you.

Since this is the only time it shivers, I do not believe it is a medical problem. If the bird does this all the time, then you will need to Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird.
