Please take your eclectus to an avian vet asap. This will determine whether your eclectus plucking is due to a health issue or a psychological issue. You cannot cure plucking until you find the exact cause. Please google eclectus parrots as there is a lot of information on the net regarding this particular species of parrot feather plucking issues. You may find something in their that will benefit.

Why do you say it's an Australian eclectus? They're not a very common bird & where they are available would cost you your home :) The most common ekkies are SI, RS, Vos. The Aussie eclectus (macgillivrayi) is not as hardy sub species as the others but it is the largest of all sub species.

please consult your local avian vet asap.

Sick Eclectus

Dr B has written a Feather Damaging Behavior article that you need to read. Then you need to take your bird to an avian vet asap.

Dr B can not tell you what is wrong, because he can't examine your bird.
