Sick Bird?

Missing feathers

Missing feathers

I have a bird named Kyo who I bought a few days ago. He is well behaved and loves to sit on top of my head. I just noticed that he is missing feathers around his vent. He also has a pasty vent and I don't know how to clean it. He gets along with all my other birds and follows them around outside of the cage. But when I put him beside me when I'm working he puffs up. Is it normal? Also he sneezed a couple of times today.

I actually gave it back to the place where I bought him, and they will take him to the vet if needed. He is being kept in a separate cage. Thanks!

Sick bird needs avian vet right away

You bird is sick and needs to see an avian veterinarian. Put him in a small cage alone with a heating pad on top to keep him worm until you can see an avian veterinarian, which should be immediately.

Muck around the vent can be a sign of serious illness - take the bird to a vet asap.
