Bird may be egg bound
by: Tracie

Your bird may be egg bound or have a prolapse or tumor. You need to get your bird to an avian vet right away or the bird may die.

To prevent egg binding, you can feed your bird a high quality pellet diet of Harrison's or Roudybush and no more than 40% healthy treats for a parakeet. (It is 20% for most other parrots)

Please use this Find an Avian Vet link to find an avian vet for your bird.
