Sick canary.

My canary is 7 years old and sleeps excessively, puffs up, and sits at the bottom of the cage. He breaths heavily and raspy now when he sleeps. What does he have?

Canary sitting on bottom of cage

He has a few hours to live if you don't get him to an avian vet right away, that is what he has.

Nobody can tell you what is wrong with your bird over the internet, anymore than if it was your child in bed sick with a high fever. Only tests and exam will show what is wrong and what medication should be prescribed.
