Red worms in bird feces?
by: The Avian Vet

I have never seen a parrot pass worms in their droppings. You need to have your bird examined by an avian veterinarian. Take a picture of the dropping or even save it for when you visit the veterinarian.

Does your bid eat colored pellets?

Yikes!! You need to get your bird to an avian vet right away. There is not any safe over the counter meds that I know of. Also, you need to investigate how the bird got worms.

Are you feeding your bird 80% healthy pellets, like Harrison's and only 20% treats? Are you making sure you feed organic fruits and veggies and washing them well before feeding them to the bird?

I will get Dr B to respond to this too.
