by JL
(Sanatoga,PA)

Hmmmmm....photoshopped ?

Hmmmmm....photoshopped ?

A follow up pic of new rescue Nanday (Barney). He's great, a welcome addition to our home (& flock). My neighbors still cant tell them apart but so fun to let them guess ....LOVE the Nandays, they are such comics and their personality is over the top. Sid is nipping as I type (not hard) to let me know the sun is going down & I need to pet him...LOL !

Okay, the answer is.......Sid above the tatt & Barney on my left shoulder.

Sid & Barney - which is which ?

SORRY it's taken me SO long to get out here. I found your message way down in my inbox which is, as usual, full up with stuff.

You are a funny man, and I'm SO pleased you and the Nandays are getting along so well! Some people don't like them because they say they are noisy, mean and on and on. Interpreted, that means they don't want to play with, listen to and love their birds, and birds of all species will scream until their people DO pay attention! I knew someone once who locked their Nandy in a dark closet, and I threatened to turn them into animal cruelty people. They were mad and said, well bird screams all the time! I said, what have you done for your bird today, this week, this month, and the answer was a negative.

Birds WILL NOT LIVE IN A VACUUMN AND WILL SCREAM UNTIL YOU DO SOMETHING TO MAKE THEIR LIVES HAPPY. Everyone wants to be "noticed", to know that SOMEONE sees them each and every day. It is natural to want a warm, loving, enriched relationship with someone. Birds are no different than we are as they feel emotions, pain, hurt, lonliness, and KNOW when they are being forgotten and neglected. THEY WILL NOT TAKE THIS EASY, AND WILL SCREAM UNTIL SOMEONE DOES SHOW THEM SOME ATTENTION. Too many times, this means being abused, and for any sickos out there, what a BIG, POWERFUL PERSON YOU MUST BE TO HURT A LITTLE BITTY BIRD OR DOG OR CAT!!! It takes a mighty BIG person to hurt small creatures, and we're all SO proud of you!

YOU are the winner of the "Best Bird Guy" award for the whole month of May and beyond! Thank You for loving your birds, for understanding WHO they really are and for being willing to do the little extra that makes their lives a wonderful experience! May God richly bless you and Family for all your days!

Linda
