I have an 8 month old blue quaker and sometimes he sounds like hes sneezing. He acts fine and its not excessive. Should I be concerned?

Sneezing

Have you taken your bird to an avian vet for a check up? Whenever you get a new bird, it should always be examined by an avian vet to make sure it's healthy. If the sneezing is not constant, it could be because the bird got some water in the nares while drinking or it could be a scent in your home. Do not use air fresheners (spray or plug ins), scented candles, cleaning products, or perfume around your bird. Also, make sure the cage is not under a vent or in a drafty area.

All birds just like other animals and humans sneeze.

As long as the bird is not sneezing all the time and there is no discharge then the bird should be fine.

If the bird starts sneezing a lot or you notice any discharge the bird may be ill or suffering from allergies. Then you should consult an avian vet.

What you have described is normal.
