Bird flew into a fly trap

No, you are not over reacting. I can't tell if your bird has enough sticky poison on it to need a vet visit, but I personally would Find an Avian Vet to examine my bird.

Please have your birds wings trimmed so that it can not fly around a room that is not bird safe. It could chew or lick something toxic, have something fall on it when it lands and all kinds of other dangers if you allow it to fly around your home.
