Feeding behavior
by: Linda

This sounds like regular breeding/feeding behavior. When parrots love someone, another bird or a human, they regurgitate and their heads bob and move while they do this. This regurgitation is how baby birds are fed by their mothers, and is perfectly natural. When birds love another, they want to feed the object of their affection like they were fed as babies by a loving Mother.

It can also indicate a digestive problem, so to make sure all is well, take your bird to an Avian vet in your area to make sure there are no infections or other problems present. Birds need to see an Avian vet at least once a year to make sure they are healthy. As a bird ages, this once a year visit gets VERY important as birds, like humans, can start to have problems as they age, and if found quickly, can be better and more easily taken are of.
