Editor's note: If you want people to see and answer, you need to post a question, not an answer here to another question, at Parrot Questions and "no" there is not any over the counter remedies that Dr B suggests.

Alexandrine parakeet noise
by: Tracie

Dr B can not tell you if there is a health issue causing this without examining your bird in person. Please Find an Avian Vet for your bird to rule out something causing pain or discomfort.

It is possible that your bird is simply trying to communicate that it wants your attention or is lonely. Please read some of the articles on our Parrot Training page for more information on developing a relationship with your bird that will allow you to teach the bird an alternate behavior to replace the behavior you wish to go away, such as screeching. You need to rule out a health issue before starting to train a bird.
