There is no way to answer this without a lot more information. We need to know how long you've had your bird, what is its age, where did you get it and has it been examined by an Avian Vet yet.

All new birds have to be seen quickly by an Avian Vet because most of them have infections that must be treated before beginning any kind of training. Your bird may not be tame, and you will have to tame and train him yourself. There is information on this site about that, and do not begin any training program before having him examined by an Avian Vet only. Sick birds do not need to be stressed by trying to train them while they're sick. The parrots are just like you when you don't feel well--you wouldn't want someone trying to make you work if you are sick, so your bird feels everything you do good or bad.

Thanks for writing,
Linda
