suddenly sitting with her eyes closed

by sandi
(naps, ca)

don't know why, but she is sitting with her eyes closed. African grey, 5 years, overall great health. she has been a lottle off her feed, but enough to keep her going, but sits with her eyes closed a LOT. Her eyes look good.

Eyes closed
by: Sandi

I will deffinately have her in there tomorrow. Can't imagine whats wrong-I love her so much. As for now, I am encouraged that she is still eating some and will come to me.

Thank you

Bird suddenly sleeping a lot
by: Tracie

You need to Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird right away. Birds hide their illness until they are very sick. Your bird is sleeping to preserve it's energy.
