Sun Conure has a tiny white dot towards the front of her eye

My Female Sun Conure named Cleo has a tiny white dot towards the front of her right eye. It is kind of hard to notice, and I do not know if I should be alarmed. It has been there ever since I got her, she seems to be a very healthy bird and can see just fine. Could you explain what this is?

This sounds like Cleo has had this since birth. I would not be alarmed unless the eye starts swelling or leaking any kind of fluid including blood.

If you have not taken her to an Avian vet for a checkup since getting her, I'd recommend having her checked out for infection or injury. If she is eating good, playing and happy looking, she is probably just fine. It is good to take birds into an Avian vet at least once a year for a well-bird checkup as infections and other problems can be caught quickly and treated by doing this.

Keep us posted and send us a picture of your Cleo when you can.

Bird with white dot in eye

If you have not had her examined by an avian veterinarian, there is no way to say for sure she is healthy, since just looking at her there is no way to tell. You should take her in to have the eye looked at with light and magnification to be sure this is not a real problem.
