Sun Conure small bubbles in poop, Should I be worried?? Vet says no.
(Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada)
this is not my bird's poop but he small bubbles on the right are similar to hers
Hello I have a 5 year old Sun Conure who I have been working on converting from seed/healthy human food to Harrison's High Potency Fine.
At first her droppings appeared thicker and harder to expel, I called my vet and she told me to include more fruit in her diet, I have since done this and the droppings are coming out easier but since monitoring them more closely this past week I have noticed some tiny bubbles on the surface (3-5 small bubbles) which after reading some info on the internet caused me to be concerned.
I have since talkd to two vets and a Harrison's tech who told me this was nothing to worry about and is contributed to gas. I wanted another opinion on this issue and was wondering what could be causing the bubbles, in anything, besides clostridium. Should I be worried and take her to the vet ASAP or take the vets advice and leave it alone/not worry? Thank you for any help!
BTW She is eating/drinking/playing normally but seems to be extra tired, however she is not gettng enough sleep with my sister and her two small children in town (the kids wake up multiple times a night and disturb her sleep)
