Swollen leg.

My bird has a band on it's leg and it is to tight. His leg has swollen around it and it is now 1/4-1/2 in. embedded into it's leg.

Bird with band cutting into leg

Your bird will lose its foot if you do not have this removed immediately. Take him to see an avian veterinarian. DO NOT TRY TO REMOVE THIS ON YOUR OWN. These will often bleed profusely and you will have no way of stopping it. Also anesthesia may be required to remove the band and your bird will likely need pain management.
