Harrison's Pellets
by: Alex

Rob, just to let you know Harrison's pellets are available from the UK.

They may look more expensive, but the pellets will last for a long time.

Tracie can give you the link on information on the transformation to pellets.

The pellets are a wholesome diet with all the nutrients they need to live longer, as seeds are very deficient in nutrients and very high in fat.

Seeds and treats can make up 20% of their diet once the transformation is successful.

bird possibly egg bound
by: Tracie

Please use this Find an Avian Vet link to find an avian vet for your bird. Your bird may be egg bound, and will die if it can't pass the egg.

To prevent egg binding in the future, feed your bird 80 percent high quality pellets like Harrison's or Roudybush and only 20 percent healthy treats or seed. Parakeets get 70 percent pellets and 30 percent treats.
