i talked to the lady that i got the bird from. she suggested that we try putting a heating pad in his cage and maybe even a heating lamp over it. the bird seems much better now. he had also gone all day without any food in his cage which most likely contributed to his behavior. thanks for the info

Hello Doreen,
Your bird is sick and needs to be seen by an avian vet ASAP. You need to specifically find out what is wrong in order to treat the bird with what it needs.
You need to act quickly because birds don't usually show sickness until they are very ill.
