Tail feathers all came out

My green cheek conure lost all of his tail feathers. Will they grow back? How worried should i be about this? Is this a sign of illness?

Bird lost tail feathers

It depends, did they all come out when it almost got stepped on or something was grabbing it? Birds will often release their tail feathers as a defense if being grabbed or their feathers get pulled or stepped on. If this is the case, then they will grow back.

If your bird just lost it's tail feathers, then you need to Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird to rule out a disease.
