TAMING a 10 yo parrot

i just inherited a 10 yo blue breasted i believe macal ive had him 2 months i am thinking about having his wings cliped nails and beak too to try to start working with him to be more hand tame he is extremly aggressive he will let me scatch his head now and rub his feet it takes two people to feed and water him one to disstract him and one to feed him Help im at a loss here dont know anything about birds but want to learn he can be sweet when he wants to be

Taming an older bird

I have not heard of the bird you named, but I believe that our training materials on our Parrot Training page will be helpful. Also, try to find a book or articles that will help you understand this bird's personality traits and body language.

You can purchase a cage with feeder doors that will allow you to feed the bird without getting attacked and put on a Lixit water bottle so the bird will have clean water at all times.
