The superman look

by Summer
(Florida)

My conure keeps putting his wing out and stretching his leg with it, looking almost like he's doing a "superman" look. Its not hurt, that I know of, but its kinda of funny. I'm just curious of why its doing that.

Bird stretching
by: The Avian Vet

This is a normal behavior we call stretching. It is a way of saying "hi" or that they are feeling relaxed and comfortable.

Superman Look

He's stretching! My conure does it all the time. Sorta like when you raise your arms over your head to sstretch your muscles, he stretches his wings, does a little dance, fluffs up and rearranges his feathers. Perfectly normal.
