Turn for the worst

Take the egg and throw it away, and get your remaining bird to an Avian Vet quickly as she will probably die too if not examined, diagnosed and treated by an Avian Vet. Take her to only an Avian Vet as dog and cat vets are not licensed to treat birds and normally do nothing and charge you for it.

Since the male died, chances are he was sick, so don't let the female die too because you cannot or will not get medical services for your birds when they are sick.

To recap, throw away the egg and get your bird into be examined by an Avian Vet immediately before she dies of same thing your other one died from.

Thanks for writing,
Linda
