Pionus turning pale

I wonder how long it has been since his last molt? It sounds like he is due for a molt. Diet plays an important role in how their feathers look also.

He should be on a quality pellet, preferably organic without dyes. I have an article on Parrot Health on our Parrot Training page. Click the 6th button down on the navigation bar on your left to find it.

If the bird has not seen an avian vet in the last year, it would be good for his vet to see him to make sure there is not a health problem.
