very old parakeet

Hello, My parakeet, Gigi is very old, her band says FL91. She has developed a very bad pecking/pruning disorder and her wee behind is very swollen and fecal matter is present all the time. I try to wipe the area for her as the poop tends to collect in the vent area. I realize that Gigi is in the last phase of her life. My question is, "Is she suffering?" She has a fairly decent appetite and loves spray millet. I keep her warm, what else can I do to make her more comfortable?
