You said "it is very cold". If your home is very cold, your bird will die. Parrots cannot be kept in cold places, and they have to be kept at a steady at least 70 degrees farenheit in order to be safe.

You will need to find an Avian Vet, but before you can save your bird's life, you must keep him warm at all times. A ten degree drop in temperature is enough to give a parrot pneumonia, and without treatment, they die from this as they become sicker and sicker.

Birds are not like humans where they get a "cold" and then get over it. For one thing, they have bacterial infections which are not colds since colds are a virus. Without being examined, diagnosed and treated by an Avian Vet ONLY, they die from these infections. Give NO over the counter meds because these do far more harm than good until you know what kind of infection is causing your bird to be sick.Avian Vets treat birds and other exotic animals, and only they can help your bird to get well. Don't have birds if you do not have an Avian Vet within driving distance.

Weak, sick parrot

I wish it were as easy as you think, but it is not. Your bird needs to be examined and tests run in order to know what is wrong and what medicine needs to be prescribed. There are no over-the-counter medicines that are safe for parrots.

Do NOT let some pet store employee sell you vitamins either! I did that with my first parrot and killed it by taxing it's liver and kidneys. Your bird simply needs to be eating 80% high quality pellets in order to get all it's vitamins.

Your bird could have an infection or a disease or something else. You just can't treat something unknown, I am sorry.
