Weird sounds

My 6 year old umbrella cockatoo recently started sounding like he has a sore throat. Unfortunately he screams a lot, and occasionally it sounds like what a human would sound like after screaming a lot...a sore throat where it is no where near as loud as it normally would be.

Is this something temporary because he screams a lot, or something that can be more serious?

Bird losing voice

Birds don't get sore throats like humans, from screaming. Your bird may have been screaming because it is trying to communicate that it is ill. Please Find an Avian Vet for your bird. It could have a bacterial infection. Dr B can't tell you what is wrong without examining your bird. Your bird needs to be seen in person.
