What activities, games, or toys could I buy my cockatiel?

My Cockatiel, Tiki, seems to get afraid of his toys, is that common for this kind of bird? What games can I play with him that won't make him lose my trust, or make him get mad at me? What can I do about the biting?

I have a Goffin Cockatoo who is very afraid of new things. The best way to I have found to introduce new things to him is to first place the item on a table near the cage for a few dys. Then somhow hang the item on the outside of the cage and eventually the bird will play with it and then you will be able to place it on the inside of the cage.

Birds are funy sometimes when it comes to new things. Just take it slow...
