She itches alot her tail feathers look horrible some areas her feathers look thin she held her wings up and whistled real loud looking at her wing like something was bothering her....

Itchy cockatiel with poor feathers

It is hard to say what is wrong with your cockatiel, sorry. Dr B can't tell without examining your bird and asking you more questions. Please Find an Avian Vet for your bird, to rule out disease or illness.

If your bird is eating colored pellets, high sugar/chemical pellets or no pellets at all, then it could be nutritional. Human food, all seed diets and cheap pellets are not good for birds to eat.

Please read our Switching Birds To Pellets article written by our avian vet if you are not feeding your bird Harrison's or Roudybush or similar pellets.
