what is wrong with my parakeets?

my parakeets nibbled on there stick where the stand on and they broke it. I want to know if this some kind of trouble ?? The don't also really eat there food I had to change the brand because at the store the didn't have the same food that they always ate since I got them.

Changing parakeet food

It is good your parakeets destroyed the wooden perch, because those are bad for their feet and now you can purchase a couple of Polly's Pastel Pedicure Perchs and some natural wood branches for their cage.

Your birds should be eating about 70% pellets and 30% treats. Please read the Switching Birds To Pellets article that will help you with changing your bird's food. Do not feed ZuPreem or colored pellets. They are full of sugar and chemicals that cause health problems in birds.
