What kind of bird is this?

Hi, my brother found this bird today, he has a short back feather and i was wondering if its because someone cut it, or if he is a baby.

Also what kind of bird is this?

Green Lorrikeet

That looks like a green lorrikeet to me. One os Australias native birds. His tail should grow back, he might have lost it from stress or a predator while he was escaped. If you are not Australian I would say he is someone's pet.

We will not be able to tell you what kind of bird your brother found if you do not give any description. Maybe you could post a picture?
It would help a lot :)
