when do the half moon parrots mate

When they are old enough, healthy enough and are being fed a high quality diet.

Birds too young will not breed, sick birds will not breed and birds eating all seed diets are very unhealthy and either will not breed or babies will be sickly if there are any babies.

All birds that are going to be bred have to first be in good condition. This means eating high quality organic pellets for some time, being taken to an Avian Vet to make sure they are healthy enough to breed, and being in an environment that is right for them which means large breeding cage with safe natural wood branches for perches and the right kind of nestbox.

Sounds like you have a lot of work to get done before even thinging of breeding, so do your study as there is much to learn about breeding birds, and one thing to learn is that if you are taking proper care of them with proper feeding and medical services from an Avian Vet, you will not make much if any actual profit from raising birds. People have to love the birds to raise them correctly which means most of the possible profit goes into food and vet care. Doing it any other way is cruel, and birds suffer from this lack of concern for their health and well being. Please make sure you are being part of the solution and not part of the problem as there are already thousands of parrots out there living horrible lives in abusive, neglectful homes because so many are being bred. Think about what kind of homes your babies may end up in. It is scary to think about, and you must think about it or risk your babies living terrible lives at the hands of people who never should have them in the first place.
