why does my parrot screech?

my african grey has decided he wants to screech all the time..i dont understand..i moved from a mobile home into an apartment building..he didnt screech like this before..now people are complaining that he is noisy..i cant get rid of him..i love him and have had him for about 13 yrs now...what can i do?

African Grey screeching

Some African Greys are scared of everything. Moving has probably been very traumatic. If you moved recently, then it simply isn't used to the new place.

Try to pay attention to when it screeches, in case the cage just needs to be moved to a different location or something. Try to create the environment around the cage to be much like the mobile home, like putting the same furniture next to the cage etc.

If you moved a long time ago, and the bird is still screeching, then you need to Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird to rule out illness.
