Why has my 9 year old very talkative African Grey stopped talking,but seems normal in all other ways.

Displaced aggression

I have a 25 yr old bf Amazon Parrot who now bites and attacks me. Believe it or not, at 1time this bird adored me
He actually used to preen my eyebrows. After I had my daughter, Kara he now adores her and has kicked me to the curb....or in bird terms I'm out of the flock. I miss spending time with him as in the old days. His agression towards me keeps getting worse. If I go to hug my daughter he attacks me.Does anyone know how we can be one happy family minus me going to the ER for stitches due to a bird bite? Any advice would be appreciated

Parrot stopped talking

When parrots that talk stop talking, it is often because they are sick. Birds hide illness until they are very sick.

Please Find an Avian Vet for your bird so it can be examined in person. I am sorry I can't help your bird and I appreciate that you care enough to look online for the answer.
