Budgie losing feathers
by: The Vet

Your bird needs to be seen by an avian veterinarian. This feather loss and itching could be due to a number of different causes including mites, fungal infection, bacterial dermatitis, allergies, trauma, and other things. I cannot recommend a treatment until we ca determine a diagnosis.

Parakeet plucking
by: Tracie

Is another Budgie plucking him? He can not pluck his own head. His beak will not reach there. Please explain.

Also, I thought I would mention that the Email address you gave for notification of an answer is bouncing. Please check back for the answer from the vet once you have let me know if another bird is picking on him or if you mean he is scratching himself instead of plucking.
