Wild Crimson Rosella sick

A wild crimson rosella comes to feed at our place and is quite tame, will eat out of your hand. It is losing feathers on its chest and seems to have a sticky type mucus on the affected area. Is this serious and is there anything we can do for it?

Sick wild bird

Please be very careful about not bringing disease into your home. Change your clothing and wash yourself before handling your birds.

The only way you can help the sick bird is to trap the bird and take it to an avian vet.
