Will my Ringnecks talk if i get them in pairs?

Hi Someone has told me that my Ringneck will stop talking if i get a companion for him. is this true?

i would like to get a companion for him as he seems lonely at the moment,but i wouldnt want him to lose his spech either.

Please let me know what you guys think!

Ringnecks may stop talking

This happens sometimes, but most often happens if you purchase the opposite sex. If you have both bird sexed so that they will not become a "pair" then it is more likely that they will continue to like you even though they may bond.

You do realize you have to keep the new bird in a separate cage until the birds have proven that they can not only get along but wish to live together? You can't just put another bird in with a bird that has already established it territory and expect it to share it with a strange bird.

Be prepared for the birds to bond with each other, if they live together in the same cage, even though it may not happen.
