clipping bird wings
by: Tracie

If you have wings trimmed properly, then it will be fine. The wings should be trimmed so that the bird will glide to the floor, not drop like a rock. Make sure you take the bird to an avian vet or an experienced person to have the wings trimmed.

Birds have hollow bones, so if you don't take the bird to an experienced person, they may break the bones trying to hold the bird for trimming, or may trim the wings too far and hurt the bird.
