Wont sit on eggs
by: sue

my understanding is the clutch will hatch in about 18 to 21 days, if it has been over 21 days, and no eggs have hatched, and both birds are not sitting on them or staying in the nesting box, i believe the eggs are no longer viable, have you looked inside to see if any have hatched, usally the first will hatch, then every second day the next and so on, check the box, if the eggs have not hatched, if they are cold, then they are not viable, maybe they were not fertile, or maybe they died in egg, your parent birds know if they are ok, if not they will disgard them, also, if the hen, laid a couple and were not fertile, then a few days later she may have laid more, i would leave them for another 2 weeks, just in case there are fertile eggs there, just let your parent birds be for a little longer, as i said they will disgard the waste eggs, if after 2 weeks, there is still 6 eggs, and you are sure they are over 3 weeks, and are cold, i would remove them, and let your parent birds rest, until they are ready to breed again, hope this helps
