Do playpens on top of cages cause territorial behaviour ? If so, does it depend on the height of the bird compared to us ?

Questions about bird food, stands, bird safe wood and metal
by: The Vet

Is linden wood toxic (tilia) for parrots ?

I am not familiar with this wood. When in doubt, don’t use it. If it is from outside in your yard or someplace, you should not use it because of the potential for disease and parasites. Purchase natural wood branches from reputable bird supplies dealers to know that the products are safe.

Is nickel plated metal parts of toys toxic for birds ?(I know that zinc is)
No, unless the metal that is plated is toxic.

Is it worth buying organic food for parrots ?
Absolutely!

Do playpens on top of cages cause territorial behavior ? If so, does it depend on the height of the bird compared to us ?
Yes, they do lead to behavior problems, no matter the height. Use a separate play gym that is only 3-4 feet tall.
