Yellow mark on ringnecks beck

by Robyn
(Brisbane,Aust)

Hi,I have a ringneck parrot about 4 mths old.I noticed a yellow mark on it's beck, it looks like the top layer of the beck is worn away. Don't know if he's been rubbing the beck on the cage to make it go like that or it's a medical condition. It's gradually getting bigger about 1/2 cm.
Thanks
Robyn

Yellow mark on beak

He may be rubbing his beak on rough perch or the cage. He may also have nutritional deficiencies. I recommend that you have it looked at by an avian veterinarian.

I have not heard of this. Dr B has not been available for answering questions due to a personal emergency. Please Find an Avian Vet to examine your bird.
