Yogurt for birds?
by: Tracie

No, birds are lactose intolerant and there is no reason to give birds human food anyway. If it has chemicals in it, sprayed on it or fed to it when it was growing then the birds should not eat it.

Your birds should be eating 80% high quality pellets if they are available where you live and only 20% healthy treats, with seed being considered a treat.

ZuPreem are one of the worst pellets due to the chemicals, food coloring and sugar content but they are still better than no pellets at all if that is all you can find.

Our avian vet suggests Harrison's or Roudybush pellets if you can find them,
